Choosing Your Wands
Which option is right for me?
Both options help you build your personal baseline and see how your stress patterns change over time. The difference is whether you test once or twice on each testing day.
20 Wands: Once-a-day tracking
Test in the morning to build your personal baseline and learn what’s typical for you. Then continue tracking to see how your stress patterns change across days and weeks.
30 Wands: Twice-a-day tracking
Test in the morning to build your baseline and add evening tests to get a deeper view of your daily rhythm. See how your pattern changes throughout the day, whether it winds down by night, and which habits may help or get in the way.
Start with around a week of testing to establish your baseline. After that, the Mira App will guide you to test a few times per week. You can also align your testing schedule with your other Mira Wands to see stress patterns alongside your cycle and hormone data.
What is cortisol, and what does Mira track?
Cortisol is a hormone involved in your body’s stress response. Mira measures urinary free cortisol, a biological signal related to stress patterns. Instead of raw numbers to decode, you see how your own stress patterns build, shift, and settle over time against your personal baseline.
What do Cortisol Pattern™ Wands add?
Cortisol Pattern™ Wands add a new wellness layer to your Mira experience: your stress patterns alongside your cycle, hormones, and daily logs, all in one place. See how your stress patterns change across days and weeks, understand what may influence them, and make more informed lifestyle choices to support your well-being.
How is Cortisol Pattern™ Wands tracking different from my regular Mira testing?
Your Mira hormone tracking schedule follows your cycle. Cortisol tracking follows a dedicated schedule designed to reveal stress patterns over time.
You’ll start with around a week of testing to establish your baseline. After that, the Mira App will typically guide you to test a few times per week, depending on your goals and patterns.
How often should I test?
Choose between 20 or 30 Mira Cortisol Pattern™ Wands. Start with around a week of testing to build your baseline. After that, test two to three times a week to track changes.
For deeper insight, add evening tests to see how your stress pattern shifts by night and which habits line up with your body winding down.
Align your stress testing with your other Mira Wands schedule to see it all alongside your cycle and hormone data.
What’s in the box?
- 20 or 30 Mira Cortisol Pattern™ Wands, depending on your selection
- Silicone testing cup, if selected
- User manual with step-by-step testing instructions
Cortisol Pattern™ Wands work with your existing Mira Monitor and App. The Mira Monitor is not included.
Does this work with my Mira Monitor and App?
Yes. It works with the Mira Monitor and App you already use. You’ll follow the same Test, Wait, Read flow you know. Cortisol Pattern™ Wands are simply added to your App.
Can I use the same urine as for Ultra4, Max, or Plus Wands?
Yes. When your testing schedules overlap, you can use the same urine sample for both tests.
Always test one Wand at a time. Dip the first Wand, insert it into your Mira Monitor, and wait for the analysis to finish. Only then dip the second Wand into the same sample. Do not dip both Wands at once, and use the sample within two hours.
For best results, avoid drinking liquids for at least two hours before testing, as diluted urine may affect your results.
How is the testing schedule different?
Cortisol Pattern™ Wands follow their own schedule, not your cycle: a baseline first, then testing a few times a week. After that first week, testing settles into a light routine designed to complement your existing Mira habit, not double it.

How long will a pack last?
Your first around a week of testing is used to build your personal baseline. After that, the Mira App guides you to track two to three times per week.
The 20-Wand pack is designed for morning tracking and should cover approximately your first month. The 30-Wand pack adds evening tracking, helping you explore your daily rhythm, so how long it lasts will depend on your goals and recommended schedule.
How soon will I see my stress patterns?
You’ll begin building your personal baseline, what’s typical for you, during your first around a week of testing. As you continue tracking, you’ll start to see how your patterns change across days and weeks. The longer you track, the more context you’ll have for understanding how your patterns line up with your cycle, hormones, and daily routines.
Will Cortisol Pattern™ Wands show a number like my other Mira hormone tests?
No, and that’s by design. Instead of showing a raw hormone number, Mira combines your test result with your daily logs and converts them into a simple, personalized stress score. The score gives you an easy-to-read view of your stress pattern that day, from calm to high.
Can I use Cortisol Pattern™ Wands with other Mira Wands?
Yes. When your Cortisol Pattern™ and Ultra4, Max, or Plus Wands tracking days overlap, you can use the same urine sample for both. Run one Wand at a time: dip and insert the first Wand, wait for the result, then repeat with the next Wand using the same sample within two hours.
Will Cortisol Pattern™ Wands work with my existing Mira data?
Yes. Your stress patterns will appear alongside your existing cycle, hormone, and daily-log history in the Mira App. Nothing will be moved or reset. You’ll simply add a new wellness layer to the data you’ve already collected.
Kit PDP waitlist FAQ
Who is Mira?
Mira is the women’s health company known worldwide for bringing hormone and cycle tracking into the home. Now, the team behind Mira is applying years of experience in personalized tracking to help women better understand their stress patterns. The Cortisol Pattern™ Kit has its own Monitor and Wands, so you can start with stress, even if you’ve never used Mira before. Learn more about Mira and our story.
Who is the Cortisol Pattern™ Kit for?
It’s for every woman who has ever asked herself, “Am I really stressed, or is it all in my head?” and wants to see when stress builds, how it changes from day to day, and whether her body winds down at night. By tracking her personal patterns over time, she can better understand how stress fits into her everyday life and make informed changes to support her well-being.
Is the Mira Cortisol Pattern™ Kit a medical device? Can it diagnose my stress or a health condition?
No. Mira Cortisol is a wellness product, not a medical device. It’s designed to help you see your stress patterns over time and make more informed lifestyle choices, not to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. If you have a health concern, we recommend talking with your doctor.
How is this different from my smartwatch or ring?
Wearables estimate stress indirectly using signals such as heart rate, which is why they may indicate stress even when you feel fine or show the opposite. Mira measures urinary free cortisol, a biological signal related to stress patterns, and tracks how it changes over time against your personal baseline. Because what’s typical for others may not be typical for you, the Mira App puts your results into context and provides personalized guidance and lifestyle recommendations based on your own patterns.
What will I actually see?
After each test, you get a simple, personalized daily stress score, an easy-to-read view of your stress pattern that day. Over time, Mira builds your personal baseline, what’s typical for you, and shows how your stress patterns build, shift, and settle across days and weeks. You’ll see it in context alongside your sleep, cycle, and the daily habits you log, so you can tell whether your routines are making a difference. The Mira App will also guide you throughout your journey and provide personalized lifestyle recommendations to support your well-being.
How often do I need to test?
Start with about a week of daily testing to build your personal baseline. After that, the Mira App will guide you to test a few times a week, so tracking stays simple and manageable.
For deeper insights into your daily rhythm, we recommend testing twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, so you can see how your pattern shifts throughout the day and whether your body follows a typical wind-down pattern by evening.
How long will the Kit last?
Your first around a week of daily testing builds your personal baseline. After that, the Mira App guides you to test two to three times per week. The Wands included in the Kit are designed to cover roughly your first month of tracking.
What happens when I’m running low on Wands?
You can reorder Cortisol Pattern™ Wands separately whenever you need them. Your Mira Monitor is reusable and stays with you.
What happens when I join the waitlist?
You’ll be among the first to know when the Cortisol Pattern™ Kit becomes available. You’ll also receive first access and an exclusive waitlist offer before the public launch. Joining is free and doesn’t commit you to purchasing.
When will the Cortisol Pattern™ Kit be available?
The Kit is expected to become available for pre-order in early November, with the official launch scheduled for later that month. Join the waitlist now to receive the latest updates and get first access when pre-orders open.
Will joining the waitlist reserve a Kit for me?
Joining the waitlist gives you first access, but it doesn’t automatically reserve a Kit. We’ll notify you as soon as pre-orders open, so you can be among the first to secure yours. The sooner you pre-order, the sooner your Kit will ship.
Can I use other Mira products with the same Monitor?
Yes. Your Mira Monitor works with Cortisol Pattern™ Wands and other Mira Wands, so you can explore additional hormone tracking options whenever you’re ready without buying another device. All your results will appear in the same Mira App, which will guide you through your recommended testing schedule.
Can I purchase additional Cortisol Pattern™ Wands later without another Monitor?
Yes. Once you have a Mira Monitor, you can purchase additional Cortisol Pattern™ Wands or other Mira Wands separately whenever you need them. You don’t need to buy another Monitor.
