Before recycling, you must remove the chip, urine sample pad, and test strip from the plastic casing. The easiest way to do this is by breaking the Wand open by hand or using scissors to pry it open at the side. Once it's open, carefully cut around the chip without attempting to detach it from the plastic, as it is securely glued in place. Dispose of the chip along with the plastic piece it's attached to, the urine sample pad, test strip, and aluminum foil Wand wrapper with your regular garbage. The remaining plastic casing is made with 30% recycled material and can be recycled again.
