After ovulation, your BBT will rise about 0.4-0.6&#xB0;F (0.3-0.5&#xB0;C) and will stay elevated for the rest of your cycle (about 10-16 days). You are looking for a pattern where temperatures rise and stay high for at least three days.You may notice that your temperature drops right before your period starts or on the day your period starts. If your temperature stays high and you don&#x2019;t get your period, this could be an early sign of pregnancy.

After ovulation, your BBT will rise about 0.5&deg;F (0.3&deg;C). This temperature will remain until your next period begins.Then, a slight temperature decrease may happen&mdash;followed by a rapid temperature increase. This will likely indicate your ovulation day. The highest probability for conception is during the days leading up to ovulation and on the actual ovulation day.
